Born as a passion project, Gnome & Bone grew from a love of literary magazines and a desire to create something liminal. Our aesthetic leans gothic—rooted in myth, fantastical elements and magic.
We are especially committed to emerging writers and artists, offering a place to be seen with intention. We go beyond publication, seeking new ways to illuminate each tale. Through interactive features like our “bone ballets,” we invite readers to engage directly with the work, thinking more deeply about its undercurrent of meaning and the choices that shapes its characters.
The magazine unfolds like a living forest: ever-growing, where stories find their place, take root and bloom. We aim to publish four times a year with the seasons, with physical issues on the horizon.
